The play of light on our world and the things in it inspire my work. A scene is never the same twice so I feel fortunate if I am present to witness and record an image in a way that will inspire others.Photography has been a love of mine since my teenage years. My first camera was a Kodak Vigilant Junior (I still own it). Needless to say, I have shoeboxes full of family snapshots, vacation pictures, etc. About 20 years ago, I decided to develop this lifelong passion and spent much of my free time learning both the technical (darkroom) and creative side of making images. My craft evolved with the digital age and my darkroom today includes all the technology needed to produce archival quality images.
In 2004, my lifestyle changed radically. I semi-retired, moved to Bisbee in Southeastern Arizona, and spent my free time exploring and recording the ever changing landscape of the Southwest.
Move ahead to 2011 and I am back in Northern California to be near family. Much of my time is being spent fixing up and landscaping an old house, but whenever I can I am out looking at this very different scenery and finding new places to photograph.
